I Wanna Banana Manna

Yes, I’m obsessed! At the Beverly Hills Juice, you pick your favorite fresh, cold pressed juice and then blend it into a delicious creamy (vegan) smoothie by adding a mix of bananas with almonds, cacao or sunflower seeds.

My absolute favorite Apple-Persimmon-Coconut, Almond Banana Manna. It’s also great with the Mixed Greens and the Apple-Ginger (if you like to try edgy new flavors).

If you haven’t been there you are missing out on the best smoothies in town! And believe me, I’ve tried them all!

Food of the Week: Banana

Bananas are one of the best sources of potassium, they are creamy, delicious and low in fat. A good source of B2, B6, C, folic acid, calcium, iodine, magnesium, copper and zinc.

Bananas are high in fiber and protective against high blood pressure, high in tryptophan, which encourages relaxation and protective against stomach ulcers.

My Parent’s Banana Oatmeal Muffins Recipe 

2 bananas mashed

1 1/4 cup oats

1/2 cup hot water

1/2 cup blueberries

8 walnuts chopped

cinnamon

Preheat oven to 395ºF (202ºC) and lightly grease muffin pan with olive or coconut oil.

With a wooden spoon mix oats, bananas, walnuts, cinnamon and water in a bowl, then add blueberries.

Fill the muffin cups with the mixture and bake for 30 minutes.

These are the healthiest muffins ever!

Cafe Gratitude LA

I am so grateful for Café Gratitude.

An organic, vegan, healthy, fresh and delightful restaurant on Larchmont. They have delicious and creative raw and cooked foods, support local farmers, sustainable agriculture and environmentally friendly products.

Café Gratitude is all about affirmations. My favorites are I am Thankful, a spicy curry coconut soup and the baked brussels sprouts for which I am Ecstatic!

For drinks I love I am Gorgeous, I am Rich and I am Healthy. Don’t you love these already?!

You have to check it out! Not only is the food great, but the people are lovely and they offer classes like Dehydration Basics and the Art of Fermentation.
