Cancer and Obesity

22 Feb

There is growing evidence that being overweight or obese increases the risk for developing certain types of cancer like endometrial, thyroid, ovarian, esophageal, multiple myeloma and lymphoma.

Maternal obesity has recently shown to be a factor in increased cancer in their offspring. There is a clear link between maternal obesity and breast cancer in offspring.

Obesity increases risk of breast cancer in mother’s, but it also increases mortality and recurrence.

This is yet another reason to start eating healthy, not only to prevent cancer for ourselves, but for our children as well.
Remember… Eat healthy, be happy!
